Job Summary

In accordance with established program standards, state and federal regulations, as applicable, provide care and supervision for infants/toddlers (6 weeks – 36 months) enrolled in the Early Head Start program Overall responsibilities include: maintain a safe, healthy and compliant environment for care and development of children; care for children based on immediate need; prepare and implement curriculum and ageappropriate developmental experiences; supervise children in the classroom and during developmentally appropriate activities; implement Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP), as applicable; conduct ageappropriate developmental screenings; conduct parent-teacher conferences and home visits; promote parent involvement in the classroom and/or center through implementation of center activities and parent meetings; track and report parent volunteer hours; conduct inventory of classroom equipment and supplies; maintain current recordkeeping compliant with program procedures; attend staff meetings, training and workshops; perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

Minimum, 2-Year degree (Associate) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) /Child Development and two (2) years demonstrated experience working with young children; must have a valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and transportation (some travel required for home visits, training and getting to/from assigned worksite located across the Summit County area); computer literacy; criminal background checks conducted.

Pay Rate

$14.20 p/hr., Pay Level 8 (2-Year Degree, ECE/Child Development)
$15.63 p/hr., Pay Level 9 (4-Year Degree, ECE/Child Development)

Child Development Centers are located throughout Summit County. Worksite assignments are based on program needs and subject to change during the course of employment.
