Job Summary

Under administrative direction and in accordance with established program standards and agency policies and procedures, directs and administers the child development programs (Head Start and Early Head Start); Plans, organizes, develops, and implements strategies to meet program goals and objectives; monitors and reviews data to evaluate compliance with program criteria; directs the activities of assigned staff; approves personnel actions; ensures staff adherence to established policies and procedures; determines staff training needs and coordinates the development and implantation of training program; resolves complex problems; develops program budget and monitor expenditures; prepares funding grant applications; works with county-wide Policy Council; develops, implements, and interprets policies; performs other duties as assigned and required.

Requirements 

Completion of master’s degree in early childhood, education, counseling, social work, or related field and five (5) years experience in an administrative position or equivalent combinations of training and /or experience. Early childhood/Head Start administrative experience a plus. Valid State of Ohio Driver’s License, as position requires minimal local travel; Criminal background checks conducted

Pay Rate

Commensurate with experience (Pay Grade 44)
