Job Summary

Under general direction, this position provides support to the Human Resources Director (HRD); assist with activities to recruit, attract, and screen/interview a diverse pool of qualified talent for agency departments/programs; and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, and agency policies and procedures. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: collaborate with HRD to consult with hiring managers to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s); facilitate and/or support with pre-employment screening process, employment reference checks, criminal background checks, coordinating appointments for physicals, drug screens, etc.; prepare new hire file for approval; participate in selection process by sourcing, screening, interviewing and recommending qualified candidates to HRD/hiring manager; provide timely information on the status of recruitment efforts; participate in creating interview guides and administering assessments to align with competencies and requirements, as applicable; assist HRD on recruitment-related materials including job descriptions, postings, and advertisements; communicate with potential candidates during the offer process, identifying start dates, and other pertinent details; coordinate and assist with human resources orientation and ongoing professional development (PD) training; maintain the confidentiality of information and materials received verbally, in meetings or day-to day operations of the Human Resources Department; conduct filing; prepare a variety of material such as interoffice communications, correspondence, forms, statistics, and reports;  participate in developing, implementing, maintaining, and monitoring policies, procedures, standards/guidelines; participate in annual program self-assessment; attend staff meetings, training and workshops; perform related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Completion of post-secondary education with an Associate Degree (Bachelor’s Preferred) in Business Management supplemented by one (1) year personnel practices experience, data entry/retrieval procedures, computer literacy (operation of computer equipment) and other technological devices or equivalent combinations of experience and/or education; pre-employment drug test, post-employment physical and criminal background checks conducted

Pay Rate

$35,776.00 - $44,699.20 Annualized (Pay Level 24) /Commensurate with experience

Incentives    

$2,000 sign-on incentive ($1,000 at first pay check after hire and $1,000 after six months of consecutive work) and 10% temporary salary increase, per pay period
