Project Coordinator (Foster Grandparent)

JOB SUMMARY

Under general direction, assist with recruitment, selection, and placement of Foster Grandparents (FGP) with volunteer stations; provide coordinated pre-service orientation, in-service workshops; assist with overall supervision of Foster Grandparents in partnership with volunteer station staff; complete volunteers bi-weekly timesheets and required associated reports. Responsibilities include: 

  • Recruitment and Outreach: Support the development, coordination, and implementation of recruitment, and retention strategies to ensure the availability of qualified volunteers; assist with informational meetings to garner program support and awareness; assist with the planning and implementation of orientation of new FGP volunteers; provide assistance to create, implement, and execute an outreach plan; assist with planning and implementing community events, meetings and activities to engage current partners and to develop new partnerships and/or worksites
  • Case Management: Coordinate volunteer application process; conduct intake, eligibility assessment, goal setting/facilitation, program monitoring, and evaluation; conduct annual verifications to ensure continue eligibility and program compliance; input accurate and complete data for all volunteers in software tracking systems; ensure files are compliant per applicable requirements; help volunteers and volunteer stations achieve their goals 
  • Volunteer Station Support: Communicate with site/station partners to ensure the volunteer stations meet requirements, in accordance with the FGP handbook and any MOU Agreement(s), to support the volunteers placed at their station; maintain a positive, working relationship with all stations and community partners to ensure continued collaboration for volunteer placements
  • Volunteer Development and Support: Assist with coordination of monthly in-service training sessions and other volunteer support activities to ensure that volunteers are continually prepared and motivated for their service; recommend partnerships and resources that will supplement volunteer training and development needs; assist with planning and implementation of activities to increase volunteer commitment. 
  • Timesheet Facilitation and Reporting: Collect and process timesheets to facilitate bi-weekly stipends; ensure accuracy in timesheets to reflect actual time for direct service, training, holiday, leave, etc.; complete associated bi-weekly required reports
  • Recordkeeping, Communication and Other: Maintain program record-keeping; provide communication to program and/or administrative staff and participants; utilize word processing and/or computer equipment in performance of duties; compose documents; assist in preparation of statistical reports, presentations, memos, and other related documents and functions 
  • Other: Perform other related duties, as assigned

REQUIREMENTS

Completion of post-secondary education with a four-year degree in social sciences, social work, business management supplemented with one (1) year social services experience or equivalent combinations of experience and/or education; proficient computer/word processing aptitude (i.e. ability to work in MS Applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook); excellent organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload and meet deadline; valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and transportation (travel may be required for training and worksite visits); post-employment physical and criminal background checks conducted.

HIRE Rate

$35,776.00 – 44,699.20 Annualized (Pay Level 24) /Commensurate with experience

CLASSIFICATION

Regular, Full-time, Non-exempt, Year-around/12-months Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
