job summary
Under direction, find, screen, and recommend qualified candidates for open positions within the Head Start Preschool and Early Head Start programs. Responsibilities include:
• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process (Planning, Analysis, Searching, Screening, Engagement, Selection and Onboarding).
• Screens resumes and applications for employment; performs interviews with candidates.
• Administers appropriate assessments and performs reference and background checks.
• Makes recommendations to hiring managers.
• Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
• Source potential candidates from various channels (e.g. social media, professional platforms, etc)
• Oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
• Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local job center and community organizations to support and enhance recruitment
• Protects and keeps all employee information confidential.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
• Attends and participates in college job fairs and recruiting sessions; and other community job fairs and host in-house recruitment events.
• Participate in appropriate training and meetings and performs other duties as assigned.
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Completion of four-year degree in human resources, human services or early childhood/child development with minimum two years of experience in social services and/or human resources; or equivalent combinations of training and/or experience; proficient computer/word processing aptitude (i.e. ability to work in MS Applications such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize workload and meet deadline; valid State of Ohio Driver’s License and reliable transportation (frequent county-wide travel and some out-of-town travel for training); criminal background checks, drug screening and post-employment physical conducted.
Pay rate
$41,308.80 Annualized (Pay Level 24)
