Recruitment & Enrollment Specialist

Job Summary 

Under general supervision, serve as is a key member of the Centralized Recruitment and Enrollment (CREO) team, assisting with achieving full enrollment by implementing recruitment, eligibility, and enrollment processes for Head Start and Early Head Start programs. This role ensures compliance with federal regulations for eligibility for pregnant women, children ages 6 weeks to 5 years, including children with disabilities, and their families in accessing high-quality early childhood and school readiness services through Head Start and Early Head Start participation. Key Responsibilities: Provide effective customer service; implement effective recruitment strategies that identify and engage eligible families, including children with disabilities; conduct eligibility assessments and eligibility  determinations in accordance with program and federal guidelines; maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including waitlists, transfers, enrollment opportunities, drops, and withdrawals using data tracking system; monitor and maintain compliance documentation for accepted and waitlisted children; serve as a liaison to community agencies, parent groups, and families to promote program awareness and participation; prepare and submit reports to ensure program accountability and compliance; participate in staff meetings, professional development activities, and ongoing training; perform other related duties as assigned. 

Requirements 

Must have High School Diploma or GED with one year experience working in social service and/or community action programs, or equivalent combinations of training and experience; bring strong organizational and recordkeeping skills with attention to detail; ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations and community partners; experience with computer/software competency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), data entry and database management systems preferred; reliable transportation (regular travel across service area/Summit County for recruitment activities and training/ongoing professional development required); successful completion of post physical examination, fingerprint and background checks conducted (FBI, BCI&I, Sex Offender Registry and Child Abuse and Neglect). 

Pay Rate

$17.92/hr (Pay Level 7)

Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; Scheduled Weekends for Recruitment Events
