Rent, mortgage, and utility assistance to eligible Summit County residents impacted by COVID-19

November 11, 2021 - Applications are still being accepted.
Community Action Akron Summit announces the availability of funds to assist eligible Summit County residents with past due rent or mortgage payments and utility/home energy assistance. The funding is part of the CARES Act stimulus package and the Home Relief Grant. Assistance is based on individual circumstances and the availability of funds
Those without internet access can call 211 to apply.
When applying for assistance, be prepared to provide the following information prior to starting the application:
1. Information for applicant
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
- Address
- Current phone number
- Valid email address
2. Information for ALL additional household members
- Full name
- Date of birth
- Social Security number
- Address
3. Eligibility gross income sources and amounts for ALL household members, 80% of area medium income.
4. Rent current payment and delinquent amounts.
